Water Resistant?
Is the HTC Flyer pretty water resistant? I don't plan on dunking it or anything but wondered how it compared to my phone, which stops working at the mere sight of water.

I wouldn't forget it is in your pocket and wash it. However, mine got wet and when it dried off it worked just fine.

It's not designed to be water-resistant, according to the HTC official website. It may not be affected by some limited amount of liquid, but if completely submerged it is very possible to break. Same thing about the stylus.

I bet it's like most phones there'll be a moisture sensor some where that will void any warranty if it believes its been in a damp environment, this include carrying it in the rain (even if protected by the cover).

I know one thing - I wouldn't try to test it to see! There are watches that are water-resistant, or water-proof, whatever, and I don't go swimming with them. I figure, if they were to get a little wet, it would be ok, but I don't intentionally sink them in the water.

To be honest, I've never really questioned whether a tablet is water-resistant because I can't really imagine how I could get it wet. I never take my gadgets (not even my smartphones) to the bathroom, and if it's raining outside, the cases usually protect the tablet from the drops.
Unless there's some sort of major problem with my piping to get my house flooded ( God forbid ! ) my tablets are safe from water...

I had no idea that this kind of technology even existed. What if you get a device wet and it didn't break? Like it broke some other way that is covered at some later time. Would the sensors being previously triggered cause a denial of your claim?

BigRed, I believe it would cause a denial. They don't care what is actually wrong; if the moisture sensor shows water exposure, you're out of luck.
