Protecting the SIM card with a PIN
As you probably know, the HTC Flyer allows users to assign a PIN (personal identification number) to their SIM, thus adding an extra- layer of security to the tablet. I haven't tried this yet, but I was thinking about doing it. My mobile service provider advised me to. Have you assigned a PIN to your SIM card...?

I'm not using a similar in my flyer just yet, when I need it away from wifi spots I use my phone as a wifi hot spot and connect the flyer to the web through that. My phone has a lock code and my phone's similar has a lock card, for now the flyer just locks when the screen locks.
But if you have a similar I suggest setting up HTCSense (HTCSense.com) from the web you can locate your device, make it ring (even if you left it in silent mode) locate it on the map, divert calls, texts, can't remember if you can remote wipe or not.
Have my phone registered with them, very usefully as I'm in meetings a lot I put the phone into silent mode, so just calling it makes it hard to find when I've misplaced it in the house, once left it at work, but wasn't sure if I lost it on the train or not. Quick lokon the map, and it showed it was at work.

Yes, my SIM card has an assigned PIN already. I figure the extra security is worth the hassle, so I set it up right away.
